We have deliberately built this website so that it sets no tracking cookies at all. That is why you have not been asked to dismiss a consent banner.
1. Our position
This website does not use advertising cookies, social media cookies, cross site tracking, fingerprinting or behavioural profiling. We do not sell or share any information about visitors, and we do not embed third party marketing scripts.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations in the United Kingdom, and the equivalent rules in the European Union, consent is required before storing information on your device other than where it is strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for. Because we do not store anything that requires consent, no consent banner is shown.
2. What we do use
Strictly necessary technology
Our hosting and content delivery provider may use strictly necessary mechanisms to route your request, balance load and protect the site against attack and abuse. These are exempt from the consent requirement because without them the site cannot be delivered securely.
Aggregate analytics
We use privacy preserving analytics to understand which pages are read and how people move through the site. It is cookieless, it does not create a persistent identifier for you, it does not track you across other websites, and it does not build a profile. We see totals, not people.
Server logs
Our provider records standard request information such as IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser type, for delivery, security and troubleshooting. Retention is described in our privacy policy.
3. Your controls
Because we set no tracking cookies there is nothing here for you to opt out of. If you would nonetheless prefer to restrict what your browser stores or sends, every major browser provides settings to block or delete cookies and to send a global privacy control signal. We honour such signals where they are presented to us.
4. Changes
If we ever introduce technology that requires consent, we will update this page and ask for your consent before that technology is loaded. We will not enable it first and tell you afterwards.
